It has been 9 years since the Battle of Yavin. 5 years after the death of the Emperor. The Empire has collapsed into several remnants, and the Rebellion has proclaimed itself the New Republic, rapidly taking over large swathes of the galaxy in the process. With it's rise, many Jedi enclaves have emerged from hiding, combining into a Jedi Order under the leadership of one Luke Skywalker.

However, this is not the ordinary timeline. For within the reaches of the unknown regions, a threat has begun to stir. Remnants of past Sith Empires have begun to stir after eons of improving themselves and isolation. With the fall of the Empire, they sense opportunity in these chaotic and unpredictable times. It seems as if war is set to erupt across the galaxy once more.
