Those displaced or altered often rationalize their new lives—memories blur, identities fold—and the truth stays buried beneath plausible deniability. Against that shifting backdrop, Special Counter-terrorist Group Delta—the G.I. Joes—operate in the shadows to defend people rather than politics. Their opposite is Cobra, a ruthless organization led by the enigmatic Cobra Commander, whose hunger for control drives repeated attempts to crush the Joes and seize power.
