In another universe, deep within the Amazon Rainforest, holds a collective of five clans that have tried to live together in harmony. Unfortunately, peace wasn't forever and a gigantic war broke out and ended with extreme violence. After the war was over the clans didn't get to catch a break as a meteor had struck the clans and caused the cats to rapidly mutate. The meteor not only affected them but also their environment!

For moons cats have already been trying to rebuild after a great war but to no avail, there is just no end in sight for all the chaos in their lives. first the war and now a meteor destroying their only known home. On top of it all the unstable allies and shaken friendships have created tensions and kept cats wary of each other. Leaders even share an unspoken fear of all that has happened. They can only pray for a better future.

High up in the clouds, there was a beautiful, prosperous kingdom ruled by a kind and benevolent queen. This kingdom had the help of powerful dragon that kept it's citizens safe and happy. Over time the kingdom would gain new leadership that would grow less kind to their citizens and would use the dragons powers selfishly. The kingdoms sages feared what their home was becoming and the dragons power so they decided to try and stop it. They took 8 stars and used them to absorb the dragons powers. The dragon then fell into a dreamless sleep, with the dragon asleep their kingdom unfortunately fell into despair and ruin. It's said that if all 8 stars are used the dragon can be awakened once again and the summoner will be able to use its power to usher in an era of peace. However if the one who summons the dragon is someone who lacks a courageous or pure heart they'll be corrupted by the dragons power and it will destroy everything. To prevent this from happening they scattered the 8 stars across the skies with the hopes that they would stay hidden forever.

Bowser and his airship fleet have launched another attack on the mushroom kingdom. The Mario Brothers decided to intercept Bowser and his fleet before they arrived in the kingdom. The ensuing fight ended up jostling the rainbow stars out of their hidden placements in the skies with both parties being unaware of this. The Bro's defeated Bowser and he returned to the Darklands to sulk and plot his next attack. The Mushroom Kingdom is once again safe.
