> Mystic Falls a small, picturesque town tucked deep within forested mountains. From the outside, it looks like a typical, sleepy American town, known for its cobblestone streets, fall festivals, and historical landmarks. But behind its charming facade lies a centuries-old secret: Mystic Falls is built on a convergence of ley lines natural sources of magical energy drawing supernatural forces to it like moths to a flame.
The town is home to three schools:
Mystic University (College)
Mystic Falls High
Hawkins Middle
Each institution is located at different edges of the town, but all lie close enough to the Vale Nexus a mysterious, ancient tree believed to be the source of the townβs strange power.
π The History: A Town Bound by Blood and Magic
Mystic Falls was founded in 1694 by a secret society known as the Order of the Hollow Vale, a group of witches, hunters, scholars, and supernatural creatures who struck a truce to protect the valeβs power. But the truce didnβt last. Wars were fought, blood was spilled, and the balance was broken. Though the town moved on and modernized, the old powers still linger beneath.
π Current Day: 2025 School Year Begins
As summer ends, students return to school. Some are starting their first year of middle school, others navigating the social battlefield of high school, and some stepping into the freedom and fear of college life.

Xehanort got what he wanted. The worlds returned to darknessβ¦and yet, somehow, light still held on. Those who had gathered there that day were picked off one by one, leaving Sora, Donald, and Goofy to face off against Xehanort. Despite winning the fight, it was too late. He had opened Kingdom Hearts, their fight was meaningless, they lost.
With the worlds returning to darkness, the balance had shifted. Light became weak, surrounded by shadow, those who were aligned with the light that day now lie asleep in stasis; their hearts waiting to be awoken. To those of you waking now, whether it be by someone you know, someone you love; itβs up to you now to help the worlds regain their light. To regain balance between light and dark. It will not be easy, there are enemies you must face, many of which you may know. In this place, nobody is safe, trust no-one.

Welcome everybody to Kingdom Hearts - Refulgent Penumbra! This is a relatively new story we are working on collaboratively, so you still have your chance to make a mark and influence the story at its core!
We do already have a few claimed characters - however, there is a good bunch of the main cast we are still looking for. If you choose to be on the side of light or darkness is up to you. Perhaps you might even walk the line in between?
