This roleplay follows the phases of the moon as a symbolic representation of how the clans are doing. During a full moon, the clans would be at their peak and doing good, in a new moon, they are in some kind of war or horrible event. The roleplay starts when the clans are just emerging from a prey scarcity that dwindled their numbers.
