Facility-12, codenamed Lazarus, was never meant to fail. Built deep beneath the earth, it existed to contain, study, and exploit anomalies that could not be allowed to roam this world. On December 30th, 2057, Containment collapsed. Power failed. Communications went dead. Before answers could be found, the facility was sealed from the outside world entirely.

Now, seven months later, those still alive are trapped inside.

Operation Stray-Dog is a character-driven roleplay server set within a sealed research facility slowly falling apart. The upper layers have become crowded, politicized, and tense. The lower layers are dark, flooded, unstable, or worse. Survival is no longer guaranteed by protocol, rank, or clearance. It depends on who you trust, what you’re willing to risk, and how far down you’re willing to go.

Players take on the roles of former personnel, expendables, engineers, researchers, guards, or civilians caught in the lockdown. Alongside sentient anomalies that now walk freely among the population, their past containment replaced with uneasy coexistence. Factions have formed. Supplies are limited. Exploration into the lower layers is dangerous, and often final.

Years ago, an immoral scientist with incredible luck to match his incredible genius rediscovered the blue spider lily, and the formula to resurrect demons. The new Demon King plotted his vile machinations with the utmost patience and caution, beginning to create new demons in 1975. However, starting in 1980, select families of great ability began to receive records of the Breathing Styles of antiquity. The Demon Slayer Corps was reborn, led by the heirs of the Ubuyashiki clan. They searched for new Demon Slayers for 15 years, training and directing them as they grew in strength from the shadows.

Then, in 1990, the Demon King changed the game by sending a broadcast worldwide. His demonic forces launched a simultaneous strike against every military installation across Japan and in the waters around the island nation, destroying any hope of an armed response. He informed the entire world that he held Japan under his rule, and was able to launch an uncontrollable plague on the rest of the world at any time if they interfered. Five years have passed since then, and a never-ending storm has surrounded Japan ever since, blocking any ships or planes attempting to leave or enter.

The Demon King's public declaration was for Japan to return to being an isolationist nation. Without the ability to counterattack, life has returned to some form of normalcy inside the island nation. However, the Demon King's horde of demons still roam the nation, hunting for their victims wherever they see fit. The Demon King's true purposes are unknown, and his influence on the Japanese government has made sure the Demon Slayers are in this fight alone.

In the first eras, in the first ages, before history, there was One.

Once, we outnumbered the stars. Trillions of souls, trillions of minds, all living at peace within the Galaxy. Together, technology, life flourished. For hundreds of thousands of years advancement churned forward marvel after marvel. The cure to death, the vaccine for war. Out of this unstoppable advancement came the culmination of everything-- all pasts, all futures, all presents. The Nexus.

It was the central point of all technology, all information, and all exchange. It saw the greatest of the universe, the kindness, the altruism, the love, the peace...It also saw the worst. It watched in hopeless broken-heartedness as brother turned against brother, spilling rivers of blood across the cosmos.

It knew, that Nexus, that history was a recursion. That regardless of how many bloodied hands joined in peace, eventually, one would fall, and one would rise. Oh, and one more thing. This world is home to **Magic, legend, gods, and wonder** unlike the boring world you see around you, this world has a special blessing. The gift of magic and myth. People here are use to day to day life aided by those born with the gift of spells. People are also use to seeing the occasional mythical creature roaming around, though that doesn’t mean they’re too pleased about it.

It’s common place to hear tales of godly visits and supernatural events taking place around people as many different gods and pantheons are real in this world and some even visit mortals

Enjoy day to day, explore buildings, and regions, join an organization (or two…or three), make mythical creatures, magicians, immortals, demigods, or even have your oc ascend to become one of the many in the new Kerzo pantheon! If you feel extra frisky start up your own organization or attempt to become head of one of the established ones by working your way up the rankings via applying your character for high ranking positions.
