Facility-12, codenamed Lazarus, was never meant to fail. Built deep beneath the earth, it existed to contain, study, and exploit anomalies that could not be allowed to roam this world. On December 30th, 2057, Containment collapsed. Power failed. Communications went dead. Before answers could be found, the facility was sealed from the outside world entirely.

Now, seven months later, those still alive are trapped inside.

Operation Stray-Dog is a character-driven roleplay server set within a sealed research facility slowly falling apart. The upper layers have become crowded, politicized, and tense. The lower layers are dark, flooded, unstable, or worse. Survival is no longer guaranteed by protocol, rank, or clearance. It depends on who you trust, what you’re willing to risk, and how far down you’re willing to go.

Players take on the roles of former personnel, expendables, engineers, researchers, guards, or civilians caught in the lockdown. Alongside sentient anomalies that now walk freely among the population, their past containment replaced with uneasy coexistence. Factions have formed. Supplies are limited. Exploration into the lower layers is dangerous, and often final.

Void Protocol is an original science-fantasy roleplay loosely inspired by games like Arknights, Chaos Zero Nightmare, and Girls' Frontline. An adult-only 18+ server meant for writers who prefer to write paragraphs for replies, we welcome anyone with similar interests with open arms.

The story takes place in a fictional planetary system known as Exalos, conquered by humanity around a century ago to build the first Dyson sphere. After successfully constructing the megastructure around the parent star, it helped accelerate humanity's progress for decades. However, the Dyson sphere collapsed under unknown circumstances, ending the unlimited supply of energy. What materialized from the collapsed megastructure was an enormous black hole that began to bend reality around it, manifesting monsters known as Voided Entities that started attacking the only habitable planet in the Exalos system: Alphon-VII.

The colony responsible for the construction of the Dyson sphere, known as the Alphon Administration, then abruptly lost contact with its imperial authority. Now faced with an endless wave of cosmic horror from outer space, the newly established military and corporations must work together to find a way to neutralize the black hole, now called the Dark Aeonsphere, without the support of the Visarion Empire.

Some of the realms like Mythllhand rather have Nancledra focus on the enlightenment of wizardry and mystical education, while many conservative realms like Bellstar argued that they should continue their concentration on the general environment. Soon this snowballed into more differences, like Alenrac refusing to aid refugees of the coming wars or Bellstar becoming a militarized realm that execute assumed criminals without due process. For the past year and a half, various different innocent people have been framed - Accused of being a criminal, with pretty "hard" evidence stacked against them. Not many criminals even get a case, but those that did get a stance in court were pressed against a mysterious benefactor and someone with a clear aims to "clear" out the Eastern Sea. Criminal or not.

You were one of their victims, or maybe you weren't - Maybe you were actually a criminal or sinner. It's all the same. No one is spotless.

Breakwater Penitentiary. The greatest prison, second to Impel Down. Breakwater, despite being located within the Eastern Sea, was ages older than Impel Down and has had history of being the clearance or the first stage of being pulled over into Impel Down. It is a prison for the criminals that aren't on a world level, but a sea-sized threat or lesser.

The Penitentiary was crafted in the underbelly of Breakwater Museum and thus became a spot of immense culture and security. If the nobles of the world were confident enough to place a prison under their famed museum then it must simply mean that they had things all under control. It made artist, civilians, and interested tourist alike feel far more coddled with going to the museum.

Two years after the end of World War 2, The Justice Society of America was founded. In October of the same year, The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense struck a deal with the Justice Society. A portion of the team members would join the Bureau in their own branch for a large sum of money– enough to retire within the decade if they needed to. This branch was called Justice Society Dark, and became the first time superheroes were seen successfully working within a government-sanctioned agency– the start of a new era.

In the same year, mutants in New York faced more violent prejudice than in any other part of the world. To defend their people, a group of mutants began “The Institute for The Gifted” in Manhattan, a program that both housed scared mutants and taught them how to better understand their “gifts” as the Professor put it. The success of the Institute started the first mutant team, The X-Men, which despite the controversy showed that mutants weren’t just victims– but saviors of mankind.

Now the year is 2030, society has been shown an age of superheroes like they’ve never seen before. Villains are getting more powerful by the decade, there may be a day where they triumph over their foes…but only time will tell.
