In Apex, Cardinals reside in "The Axiom Crypt", a grand Celestial hub for Cardinals (and their Godly sponsors, known as Benefactors) who have passed their year-long training course and are on permanent standby for missions that require their attention.

The steady crawl of diplomatic progress across the world came to a sudden halt with the discovery of Cloudbreach, a lost continent discovered by Kazuryo. Now, the fragile balance of power is under imminent threat as the nations of the world all scheme and collude to be the first to plunder the New World. Pikebitter asylum, this server is set in the early 2000s in a mental hospital in Vermont. Pikebitter is infamous for it's cruel treatment of patients and sadistic staff although it seems nothing ever gets done about it. That's cause everyone who has any power to stop it is given a handsome amount of money to keep their mouths shut. To make matters worse Pikebitter takes contracts to perform illegal and immoral experiments on their patients, some of which are perfectly sane, or at least they were when they got here!
